I looked it up and discovered that it was from 'Kiln House' (1970). That is why I plugged a hole in my collection. For years I had three Fleetwood Mac albums - Then Play On (1969), with Peter Green and Danny Kirwan, Future Games (1971), and Bare Trees (1972), the last two with Danny Kirwan, Christine McVie, and Bob Welch. Fleetwood Mac was still primarily a blues band on this, their first album after the departure of founder/nominal leader Peter Green. But the remaining members, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Jeremy Spencer, and Danny Kirwan (plus McVie's wife, Christine, not yet officially part of the group) started broadening the band's use of blues into other contexts, and adding new influences in the absence of.

Background[edit]
The album title is taken from the name of a converted Oast house in Truncheaunts Lane, near Alton in Hampshire (UK). The house was leased by the band, who lived there communally with their families for a six-month period in 1970. Mick Fleetwood was married to his wife at the house on 20 June 1970.[4]Barco clickshare download for mac.
Spencer, who sat out for the previous album, Then Play On, played a much more active role during the Kiln House sessions. His retro 1950s homages and parodies dominate the album, although Danny Kirwan's songs are almost equally prominent.[5] 'Buddy's Song' is a partial cover of 'Peggy Sue Got Married' with new lyrics listing a number of Buddy Holly song titles. The song is credited to Buddy Holly's mother, who received the writing credit after Buddy's funeral from the original composer, Waylon Jennings.[3]
